Breast Surgery

Doctors’ visits and unknown diagnoses can be quite stressful and require not only appropriate treatment but compassionate care. If you have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, we understand that this is a difficult time.
Our surgeons are experienced in treating both benign and malignant breast conditions. We work cohesively with radiologists, oncologists, and referring physicians to develop a comprehensive care plan to give you the best that Orange County has to offer. YOU are the center of our team and we will do our very best to walk you through this challenging time and make you comfortable with the decisions and treatments that may lie ahead.

You will meet one of our surgeons who will take a thorough history and perform a physical exam. Try to provide as much history as possible regarding your family members who might have had breast cancer. A list of your medications will be reviewed as well as prior surgeries and medical problems. If you have recent imaging (mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs) please bring them with you if able.
We work closely with our oncologists and imaging centers to help determine what the best plan is for you as an individual and there is not a “one size fits all” approach. Depending on the diagnosis that you have this may lend to lumpectomy, mastectomy, and lymph node dissection/excision. We work in conjunction with reconstructive surgeons should you need or desire breast reconstruction.
Breast cancer and benign breast pathologies can be an incredibly taxing and stressful time for you and your family. We at OC surgeons want you to know that we are fighting with you and you won’t be alone during this difficult time. Our goal is to restore your health both physically and emotionally.
