Dr. Nora Evans, MD, FASCRS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained general and colorectal surgeon who has been providing high quality care to the residents of south Orange County for many years. She specializes in surgery of the breast, colon and rectum, and has tremendous expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Evans graduated with honors in 1985 from the University of California, Riverside and went on to attend Medical School at Loma Linda University College of Medicine. Upon graduation she went on to a General Surgery residency at Kern Medical Center. Her training continued with a colorectal fellowship at the University of Texas.
Dr. Evans has been serving residents of South Orange County and surrounding communities, providing expertise in minimally invasive surgeries, including robotic surgery. She truly loves her work, which is reflected in her compassion for, and dedication to, her patients. Dr. Evans has great passion for breast surgery for benign and malignant diseases, giving special care to her patients with breast diseases. In addition to her weekly community tumor board meeting where every new positive cancer patient is presented, she continues to refine her knowledge by attending annual national conferences to stay up to date on the latest in treatment modalities. She performs complicated anorectal surgeries and laparoscopic and robotic colon and rectal surgeries. She has received numerous awards, including an achievement award from the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. In 2012, Saddleback Memorial Medical Center honored her with an outstanding achievement award for physician patient communication.
She is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Colorectal Surgeons.
